DETECTIVES investigating the death of a teenager at the weekend have named him as 19-year-old Ross Davidson.
A post mortem examination has confirmed that the teenager died of head injuries after collapsing in a Newcastle street.
Police arrested two men on Monday, and a third tonight in connection with his death. All three are aged 22.
Newcastle Magistrates have granted detectives an extra 12 hours to question the two men arrested on Monday.
Police and paramedics were called to a house in Grace Street in the Byker area of the city at 10.15pm on Sunday.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Anastasi said: "We are trying to build up an exact picture of what has happened prior to and after the assault taking place."
