THEATRE group students are celebrating a triple success after securing top marks in an examination.
Youngsters from Stagecoach Theatre Arts School in Bishop Auckland gained three distinctions in their Trinity College London Musical Theatre examinations.
The group performed an adaptation of The Dracula Rock Show for assessors and were given distinctions for their dance, drama and singing.
Three distinctions is the highest possible score, and Kate Ruddick, the school's principal, said: "The Trinity College exams are fully accredited and a worthwhile exercise, and to be able to get the best possible results is an absolute boon for us."
"I am delighted and so are the students. we have had some great successes from the students at this school, with children appearing in several professional productions on stages up and down the North-East, but this for me is the best yet."
The students, who are all from the Bishop Auckland area, will shortly be receiving their certificates.
The school meets every Sunday during term times at King James I Community College, in Bishop Auckland.
