This is the sping-tingling moment thousands of runners fell silent at this year's Great North run in memory of Her Majesty the Queen.

At around 10.42pm on Sunday, thousands upon thousands of runners took part in a one minute silence for the Queen.

People from far and wide became united in their shared mourning of Her Majesty before launching into the national anthem and God Save the King.
