Officers searching for missing North East man Michael Rae have found a body.
Michael Rae, 33, went missing from an address in Hartlepool on Sunday, August 14.
An extensive search was launched and police issued several appeals for information on his whereabouts.
He had links to the Hartlepool and Peterlee areas.
But in an update on Friday afternoon, police confirmed they had found a body.
A statement from Cleveland Police read: “Whilst no formal identification has yet taken place, Michael’s family have been informed and they are being supported by officers. Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
