Two Darlington men have been arrested after police pulled over their car and found a boot-full of suspected stolen items.
Staff at a North Yorkshire farm shop altered police yesterday (August 18) after a man filled his basket with high value items before leaving the store without paying for them.
He then left in a car heading towards the A1.
North Yorkshire Police officers tracked the vehicle down on the motorway and after bringing it to a stop, found the suspected stolen goods in the car's boot.
Two men from Darlington were arrested on suspicion of theft and are currently in police custody.
