North East weather: Your hour-by-hour forecast as warmer temps predicted

Cloud and showers will be the main feature across the North East today, with some heavy rain also predicted.

However, temperatures are set to creep up higher than they have been at the start of the week.

Tomorrow will also see warmer temperatures with a dry and sunny start for many on Friday, however scattered showers will again make themselves known as the day progresses.

What’s the weather like this weekend?

Looking ahead into the weekend, the North East will see a dry Saturday with breezy and heavy rain for a time, but clearing later.

On Sunday, bright and sunny spells with scattered showers and lighter winds have been predicted.

In Darlington temperatures are set to hover around the 20c mark with some chances of rain throughout the afternoon on Saturday.

On Sunday the picture is the same with slightly lower temperatures at 19c and further chances of rain.
