Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A688 Rotary Way in Bishop Auckland on Thursday morning (August 4).
The road, one of the main routes into the town, was partially blocked for a number of hours while the vehicles were removed.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly after 9am, this morning (August 4) to a two-vehicle collision on the A688 at Bishop Auckland.

"Both drivers were transported to hospital to be checked over. The vehicles were also recovered."
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 9.10am this morning to reports of a road traffic incident involving two vehicles on the A688, Bishop Auckland.

"We dispatched one ambulance crew and a specialist paramedic. Two patients were taken to the Darlington Memorial Hospital for further treatment."
