Runners and spectators attending the several running events in Darlington this Sunday have been advised as to where to park their car.

More than two thousand runners will set off to complete two laps of the town centre as part of the Darlington 10K, kids 3K and family fun run events.

Darlington Borough Council said the car parks in Abbots Yard and East Row will not be available.

All short stay car parks inside the inner ring road are two hours free parking on arrival and them £1 an hour thereafter. A three-hour ticket is £1.

All long stay car parks outside the inner ring road are £1 all day.

The East Street Multi Storey car park offers two hours free parking on arrival or £1 all day.

Where are the toilets?

There are portable toilets available in the market square vicinity, with some additional toilets available at the Covered Market area on East Row, adjacent to the market square.

But people are asked not to use any of the facilities in the Dolphin Centre.

Water stations will be available on the route for all runners and each runner will be provided with water on completion of the course.

Runners will need to pick up their own bottle of water bottle off the table on the route and at the finish line. There will be food stalls in the market square HUB area.
