A drugs warrant was carried out at an address in Hemlington, Middlesbrough this morning, (Wednesday, July 20).

Officers from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Team and Cleveland Police Dog Section attended an address on Eddison Way, Hemlington, to carry out a drugs warrant where items of drug paraphernalia ere seized.

The warrant was carried out under Operation Fortress, an initiative aimed at reducing crime and antisocial behaviour in the Hemlington area, and as part of ASB Awareness Week.

Police are working together with partner agencies to tackle antisocial behaviour in all areas of Cleveland, however, in Hemlington ongoing Operation Fortress has seen success in its first four months with a 45 per cent reduction in ASB, 35 per cent reduction in crime and a 36 per cent reduction in deliberate fires.
