The driver of a Seat was taken to hospital last week after his car left the road and crashed on the A171.
An appeal has been launched for witnesses and information on the incident, which occurred on the road west of Whitby near the Roxby junction.
The incident happened at around 5pm on Thursday, July 7 and involved a black Seat Ibiza which left the road.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to James Cook Hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
Officers are seeking the public’s assistance to establish the full circumstances around the incident.
They are particularly looking for information about the events that lead tip to the crash and any dashcam footage that may have captured the incident.
