His case went before Peterlee Magistrates' Court on Thursday (June 30) where it was found proven by magistrates.

The court heard that Pitt, 40, failed to give the police required information about the driver of a Peugot on October 27, 2021 in Spennymoor who was suspected of breaking the law.

He was fined £660.

Court charges and fines were then added, bringing the total he has to pay up to £836.

Pitt, of Ruffside, Consett, was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months, with magistrates saying the ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.
