Images of the bullet holes in the door and window of a North East pub have been seen following a suspected shooting at a venue in Norton in the early hours of Wednesday (June 29), 

Officers from Cleveland Police received a report of a firearms discharge at The Bank Public House on Norton High Street around 12.30am this morning.

It is said that two suspects riding a motorbike and both wearing helmets attended the premises and discharged a firearm, before making off on the motorbike in a southerly direction along Norton High Street towards Norton Road.

The premises was closed at the time of the incident and no one was inside.

Enquiries are ongoing and there have been no arrests at this time.

On Wednesday morning, forensic teams have been spotted on the scene - while officers were also seen removing a window and picking up evidence as part of the investigation.

Detectives are appealing to any witnesses, anyone with information or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from around the High Street and Norton Road around the time of the incident to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 111861.
