A car crash on a level crossing at East Boldon between Newcastle and Sunderland is causing train disruption tonight.
It's affecting trains between the two cities as well as services to Carlisle and Middlesbrough, and between Metro Centre and Nunthorpe.

The disruption is expected to last until 9pm tonight (Tuesday June 28) whilst emergency services and rail staff deal with the incident.
A National Rail spokesman said: "A road accident at a level crossing between Newcastle and Sunderland means all lines are currently blocked.
"As a result, trains are unable to run between these stations and will be cancelled or revised.
"Disruption is until approximately 9pm."
National Rail staff are on the scene of the incident as are the emergency sevices.
The crash happened at around 7pm on the railway crossing on the B1299 Station Road at East Boldon and shut the road both ways from Cleadon Lane to A184 Front Street.
A spokesman for Metro operators Nexus said: "Metro services are suspended Brockley Whins to Sunderland due to a road traffic accident at East Boldon level crossing.
“The incident involves two cars. No trains are involved.
“Services on the Network Rail section of line are disrupted while emergency services deal with the other incident.”
