A street in County Durham lost its water supply for over an hour after utility companies confirmed that emergency repairs were needed to resolve an ‘issue’.
Residents of Springfield Gardens in Chester-le-Street experienced water outages from around 4.15pm on Monday (June 20) until 5.30pm.
News of the repairs were confirmed by the water company on its social media account at 4pm on Monday (June 20) afternoon.

Posting on its social media account, Northumbrian Water said: “Emergency Repair Required on DH3 Chester-Le-Street.
“Water supplies around Springfield Gardens may be affected until 5.30pm.
“Thank you for your patience DH3.”
A spokesperson for Northumbrian Water added: "The team have shut off the water supply to about 10 properties and it will only be off for around 20-30 minutes while the repair is complete."
