A large section of part of a former steelworks site was demolished last night.
There was a planned explosion to bring down part of the Redcar Sinter Plant on Thursday, June 16.
The Bunker Bay and Screenhouse of the 50metre tall structure were levelled following the detonation, which took place at 7pm.
The demolition experts used 100kg of explosives between 130 separate charge locations resulting in more than 5,000tonnes of scrap steel.

When operational, more than 70,000 tonnes of sinter per week was produced at the plant and the process included the heating of fine metals, iron ore ‘fines’, and coke which fed Redcar Blast Furnace, in turn making molten iron.
The demolition programme at Teesworks got underway last year.
A number of large structures have already been levelled, including the adjacent Stock Houses, hundreds of metres of high-level conveyor, the area workshops and numerous raw materials handling facilities such as the Flux Bunker and Ore Bunker.
Work is now ongoing to bring down the Redcar Coke Oven Battery and Blast Furnace.
A spokesperson for Tees Valley Combined Authority said: "By demolishing the former steelworks, earth clearance and ground remediation can begin in order to create investor-ready land for schemes such as bp’s Net Zero Teesside Power project, which is set to create more than 3,000 jobs during construction.
"Later this summer further explosive demolitions are planned to include the last section of the Sinter Plant and its chimney stack, among other structures across the site."
