Would you know how to apply for an apprenticeship? All these questions and more will be answered at New College Durham’s Discover Apprenticeships Open Event.
On June 28, visitors can head along to the college’s Framwellgate Moor campus between 3pm and 6pm to find out more about this exciting career option. You will discover everything you need to know about apprenticeships including what they are, how they work and how to find one.
You can check out the apprentice roles available now and get help with writing a CV and applying for vacancies. You can also enjoy tours of the college’s outstanding campus and state of the art facilities.
With an apprenticeship you get the best of both worlds. You gain a nationally recognised qualification and get valuable work experience while earning a real wage. The wide range of routes available include higher and degree programmes, so whether you are a school leaver, have just finished A-Levels or are looking to change job there will be an apprenticeship that will meet your career goals.
They have links with over 400 employers and offer apprenticeships in a huge range of subjects. As teaching is delivered by expert teachers with industry experience, it’s no surprise that their success rates are consistently above the national average.
