POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 30s was seriously injured after being assaulted at home.
North Yorkshire Police said the man was at a property in Brompton, near Northallerton, when three men called at the house and assaulted him.
It happened in Orchard Grove between 10pm and 11pm on Monday, May 2.
The man sustained a serious injury in the attack.

Officers are appealing to local residents and anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them if they have any information that could assist the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any suspicious vehicles or people or anyone who may have doorbell or private CCTV that may have captured the suspects arriving or leaving the area is asked to get in touch.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers believe that the incident was isolated and that there was no risk to the wider public.”
