Specialist business advisory firm FRP is to boost its presence in the North East with the opening of a third regional office.
The national firm is expanding its footprint in the region by taking space at Sunderland City Council’s Evolve Business Centre in Houghton-le-Spring.
FRP currently operates established offices in Newcastle and Teesside and employs a 30-strong team of restructuring advisory specialists in the region. The new office will be the base for eight of FRP’s employees.
The opening of the Houghton-le-Spring office is also part of the company's ongoing growth strategy, following a series of new office openings in Southampton, Cambridge, Glasgow and Milton Keynes in recent months, and increases the firm’s national footprint to a network of 25 offices.
Manager Shaun Hudson said: “Many businesses are forecasting challenging times, with supply chain disruption and increased operating costs impacting their ability to effectively bounce back from the pandemic period.
“At this critical time, we are committed to providing businesses in Sunderland and Durham with specialist business advice on patch, which is especially pleasing for me as a native Wearsider.
“The North East stands to benefit from a number of growth initiatives in the coming years, which will boost connectivity and the local economy. We look forward to supporting businesses as they build resilience and innovate."
