Darlington-based drainage specialist Jet Aire Services has been shortlisted for a prestigious award in a ceremony which recognises outstanding work between water companies and their partners.

The firm are up against Galliford Try, Network Plus and MWH Treatment, and will find out if they have been successful when the awards are handed out at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole on June 29.

Over the last year, Jet Aire Services has acquired Tyneside-based drainage experts KwikFlow to expand its fleet and coverage, and was subsequently taken over by environmental specialists Adler & Allan.

Jet Aire Services’ growth saw them move from Middlesbrough to larger premises in Red Barnes Way, Darlington at the turn of the year.

Senior management have also invested in excess of £1.5m in new technology.

Darren Pavan, Managing Director at Jet Aire Services, said: “It has been a exciting time for us over the last year, and it is a great honour to be shortlisted in such a high-profile event which recognises the very best in the sector across the whole of the UK.

“Our business has grown dramatically in the last year. With a head office in Leeds as well as our depots in Darlington and Team Valley, the work and investment we have made in recent months has helped us to flourish and grow to the level where we can pick up work anywhere in the UK.

“Our crews carry out fantastic work in often difficult conditions 365 days a year, but there is an awful lot of hard work carried out by our support teams in the three offices to ensure things run smoothly so I see this as a real team effort and offer my thanks to every single person who has played a part in our growth."

The annual awards are organised by Utility Week Innovate, and return after a two-year break caused by the pandemic.
