AN indie feature film shot around the North East has had its ‘spectacular’ release to UK audiences after appearing on streaming service Amazon Prime Video.

The film, entitled “Finding Your True Self,” is a slice of life piece with sub genres of drama and romance and tells the story of an isolated young man trying to break free from his controlling brother, who then encounters some potential new friends, allowing him an escape and a new lease on life.

The film, Which was captured in parts of Newcastle and Hexham, was produced by local production company Terabithia Pictures, and is written and directed by Alnwick based filmmaker Gabriel Brown.

He said: "It feels surreal to finally have the film out there and released, aside from it even being on Amazon Prime! It’s been a real labour of love creating this and I thank everyone for their dedication, hard work and passion- we couldn’t have done it without you.

Addison Keen, a Haltwhistle-based actor and producer, co-produced the feature alongside Gabriel, and stars in the film also as “The Gallery Host.”

Addison said: “It’s amazing to see the film finally get to release! It’s a great testimony to all the talented cast and crew that helped put it together to be able to have their work shown on a platform such as Amazon.
