POLICE have issued a fresh appeal following a crash last week that see a dark Alfa Romeo leave the road and hit a tree leaving one person still in serious condition.

The incident happened on Thursday March 24 and saw the car leave the road and hit a tree at around 11.30pm.

All four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

Three have been treated and released, however one occupant remains in serious condition.

Police say a man in his 20s is currently helping officers with their enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing, and officers have asked anyone who saw the Alfa Romeo in the moments leading up to the collision to get in touch.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Anyone who has any other information or dashcam footage that could help the investigation, should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and quote incident number 12220050274.
