A COUNTY Durham road was closed for two hours this morning (March 21) after emergency services battled to clear a road traffic collision.
Police officers and ambulance crews were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Dene Bridge Row, Chilton, at around 7.25am this morning.

After attending the scene, near Elemore Hall School, police officers closed the road for near to an hour as a precautionary measure - causing congestion for those wanting to drop their children at school and people commuting in and out of Chilton.
No one was injured during the collision, according to the emergency services present, and the road reopened at 9.30am.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Police were called just before 7.25am to a two-vehicle collision on Dene Bridge Row, in Chilton.
No injuries were reported.”
