A LARGE and dangerous cannabis grow has been removed from an address in Ferryhill.

Last Thursday concerns were raised about a property on Blandford Street, Ferryhill.

Following initial enquiries, officers forced entry to the property and discovered a large cannabis grow across the three-storey property.

Police also discovered the electricity meter to be bypassed, posing a serious risk to the neighbouring properties.

This has since been disconnected.

In total, 241 cannabis plants were removed from the address.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate the person(s) responsible for this.
