AN organic farm shop has opened a second outlet just over a year after it set up in business.
Green Eggs and Jam opened in converted buildings at the family farm of Lorna Osgood, in Snape, near Bedale, a year ago.
She has now established a shop in a temporary building at Manor House Farm, in Morton-on- Swale, near Northallerton, close to the A684.
The shop will move to a more permanent location at the farm once development work is complete.
Plans are also being drawn up for a cafe.
Ms Osgood said: "I have been delighted by the success of Green Eggs and Jam at Snape in our first year, and felt it was time to branch out. We are in a perfect location in Morton, both for villagers and for people on their way home from work."
An organic vegetable shop was previously run at the Morton site by farmer Stephen Ward, who will continue to supply fresh vegetables and meat from Manor House Farm to Green Eggs and Jam.
Both stores are open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.
Today, complementary therapist Claire Donaldson will be at the Morton shop to give advice on nutrition, massage, acupuncture and heat therapy.
