MUSICIANS met weekly at a rural social club in County Durham to play and hear accordion music for 30 years.
But Derwentside Accordion Club, based at Castleside Workingmen's Club in Castleside, near Consett, is no more.
Members have disbanded because they have been unable to form a committee.
Chairman Leslie Lee, 77, of Buttermere Grove, Crook, said: "The problem is that a lot of people have been with it from the start, and most people are getting on, or are in bad health.
"We have had some great guests over the years so this really is the end of an era."
