AS work on the £100million designer village at Scotch Corner has now resumed, we take a look at the brands confirmed for the site.
The Scotch Corner Designer Village, off the A1 near Richmond, is due to open on October 19, 2023 and developers say that 50 per cent of the 80 outlets are already taken.
A further 30 per cent are under negotiations.

Although the developers are remaining tight-lipped about the full list of brands confirmed for the village, they have revealed that the following fashion labels and food outlets have committed to the site:
- Hugo Boss
- Tommy Hilfiger
- Levi’s
- Calvin Klein
- Adidas
- Joules
- Clarks
- Mint Velvet
- Skechers
- The Fragrance Shop
- GAP
- Dune
- Dare2B
- Pavers
- ProCook
- Hallmark
- Bedeck
- Moss Bros
- Five Guys
- Wagamama
There will also be a portion of outlets set aside for 'pop-up' shops, enabling local, independent or primarily online brands to occupy a physical store at the village on a short-term basis.
A massive Blue Diamond garden centre also forms an integral part of the designer village, selling a range of outdoor furniture, plants and homeware.
Work on the site halted for 18-months due to the Covid pandemic, but diggers returned to the site at the end of January this year and developers are confident the village will be open to shoppers in autumn next year.
