THE family of a missing man who failed to turn up for his mother's funeral are concerned for his welfare.
Michael Hunter, 53, pictured, was last seen leaving his home in Westmoreland Street, Darlington, on Thursday by his brotherin- law.
Mr Hunter, known as Mike, was wearing blue trousers, a blue jumper, a black faded cap and a green Berghaus jacket. He was also carrying a black and grey backpack.
Mr Hunter is described as 5ft 7in, with short cropped, greying ginger hair and stubble. He also wears brown-framed glasses.
Sergeant Craig Dixon said: "I would appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen Mr Hunter or have any information regarding his whereabouts to contact us."
