POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man missing from home since this morning.
Michael Hunter, 53, from the Westmoreland Street area of Darlington, has not been seen since 9.45am.
He was wearing a blue jumper, blue trousers, black padded Kangaroo cap, a green Berghaus jacket and brown shoes. He was carrying a blue and grey backpack.
He used to sport a full beard but, following an illness, may now only have a partial beard.
Police were contacted when Mr Hunter, who has been unwell, did not attend his mother's funeral this afternoon. He is not believed to have been carrying any money.
