FOUR North Yorkshire people were fined and faced court in the last week after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

They all appeared before court on January 27 and were hit with fines after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Alan Tilford, of Claro Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire was hit with a £120 fine after driving on Oakdale Rise in Harrogate while being over two times the drink drive limit.

The 52-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 in court costs.

He was also disqualified from driving for 19 months.

Jelena Valko, of Pinewood Drive, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was fined £80 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

The 40-year-old was caught driving on Duchy Road in Harrogate while being over the drink-drive limit

Valko was made to pay £34 to victim services, £85 in court costs and pleaded guilty to the offence.

Amy Carina Chapman, of Knox Avenue, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was fined £300 and disqualified from driving or 20 months.

The 24-year-old was stopped while being two times over the prescribed limit of alcohol.

She was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 in court costs and pleaded guilty to the offence.

Rachel Mchenery, of Lynden Close, Ripon, North Yorkshire was fined £246 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

The 21-year-old was caught on Parliament Street in Harrogate ad was found to be over the limit of prescribed alcohol and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 in court costs after pleading guilty to the offence.
