CLEVELAND Police is appealing for witnesses following a collision in Middlesbrough.

A 35-year-old man remains in hospital today after he sustained serious head injuries during a collision with a car in Middlesbrough yesterday.

It happened at 4.25pm on Acklam Road near the Coronation Pub when the man was in a collision with a Kia Venga.

He fell to the ground and was momentarily unconscious, but he then got up and went into the pub where police and ambulance staff tended to him.

Cleveland Police is appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone who was in the area with dash cam footage around the time of the collision to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number.
