A 19-year-old woman has been “discharged conditionally” for six months after she stole two slippers from Shoezone in Scarborough and over £180 in clothes.

Denisa Zevian, 19, from Scarborough in North Yorkshire appeared before the magistrates court on Friday, January 14.

Zevian was charged with theft from a shop after stealing two slippers worth £13.98 from Shoezone in Scarborough and over £180 in clothes at Mountain Warehouse in Scarborough.

The 19-year-old was discharged conditionally, however, meaning she was released and no further action will be taken unless she commits a further offence within the six-month period.

She was also made to pay £22 to victim services and £85 in court costs.

Zevian pleaded guilty to both offences, as well as failing to surrender to police or court bail wherein she was given no separate penalty.
