A TEENAGER serving an eight month custodial sentence for breaching his anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) has had the order extended by two years.

Dale Carter, who has a record of causing havoc on the Pallister Park Estate where he lives, will have to curb his behaviour until December next year, under the terms of his renewed two yearorder.

The 15-year-old, of Linmoor Avenue, Middlesbrough, has been involved in a series of incidents, including a range of antisocial behaviour, illegal use of motorbikes and other criminal acts throughout the length of his two-year order.

Rob Brown, Middlesbrough Council neighbourhood safety officer, said: "It is hoped this extension of the Asbo will demonstrate to the residents of east Middlesbrough that a lot of hard work is being carried out to address anti-social behaviour.

The extended Asbo means that when he is released from prison, he has a clear list of what he must not do - unless he wants a swift return to custody."

Inspector Bev Gill, of Cleveland Police, said: "We are committed to improving the quality of life for residents of Pallister Park. I will personally guarantee that any breach of an Asbo will result in arrest, and will be dealt with through the courts, with a view to seeking a custodial sentence."

The 12-point Asbo on Carter prevents him from being in any gang, using threatening behaviour, drinking or taking illegal substances.

It also bans the teenager from a number of streets on the estate.
