PEOPLE in the region have been weathering snow on Boxing Day.
While some people wrapped up at home, others braved the elements to make the most of the white stuff.
A yellow weather warning was in place for bits of the North East and Yorkshire, particularly central and western parts of the region.
Among the places to see snow was Consett, Dipton, Burnopfield and Tow Law.

More snow is expected in the region over the next few days as temperatures plummet.
And while many people stayed at home, others wrapped up warm and went outside to have a bit of fun.
Among them was Eva Simpson, six, who was out sledging in Dipton.
Properties in County Durham and Teesside have also been without power today, with ongoing issues in Consett, Crook, Stockton, Hartlepool and Peterlee.
The A66, which was closed earlier in the day as a result of snow, is now open again.
