FOOD and drink producers across the North-East will be showcasing their products on a national stage this week.

During this week's Farmhouse Breakfast Week produce will be sampled by BBC Radio 2 DJ, Sir Terry Wogan.

On Friday morning at about 8am Sir Terry will be treated to black pudding from Broom Mill Farm, West Auckland, sausages from Piperfield Pork, near Berwick and bacon from Moorhouse Farm Shop, near Morpeth.

The event is being organised by the Home Grown Cereals Authority to encourage a balanced breakfast as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Other foodstuffs being promoted across the region include home made healthy muesli, yogurts, fruit and smoothies.
