THE badly burnt body of a man has been found in a field in North Yorkshire.
The gruesome discovery was made at 1.10pm on Saturday in a field off Wistow Road, Selby, near York.
North Yorkshire Police cordoned off the area but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Due to the condition of the body the man has still to be formally identified but the police think he is a local man.
Enquiries are continuing but the police are not looking for anyone in connection with the death.
