In a game played in conditions that fully justify the winter break Billingham started the stronger of the two sides and opened the scoring on 9 minutes 0-1. Norton U15 Girls pressed forward but just couldn't manage to convert any of Jess Stockton's unselfish running into scoring opportunities and Billingham hit another 4 goals before the break half time 0-5.

The second half saw Norton move out of the blocks much quicker than the first and shift up the gears to take the game to Billingham, with Howells directing from the back and Chesworth and Roxby providing the ammunition for Stockton to fire, the Norton girls slowly fought themselves back into the game, but the second half was only 7 minutes old when Billingham increased their lead 0-6. Far from being down and certainly not out Norton knuckled down to take advantage of the slope and on 61 minutes good work by Johnson and Chesworth set the fleet footed Jess Stockton away and she accelerated passed the trailing Billingham rearguard to fire home 1-6.This gave the Norton girls the impetus to drive on and good defending by Rowntree allowed space for Johnson who won a corner on the right, this was knocked in by Roxby who found Behan at the far post she readjusted her position and fired home for her first ever goal 2-6. Billinghams defence was beginning to weaken as Norton pushed forward and Stockton's pace became the major factor in this running every ball down and going close on numerous occasions but unfortunately to no avail and in the dying embers of the game as Norton pushed forward Billingham took advantage of this to strike home on the break 2-7. Norton now enter the Winter break hoping on their return in the New Year they can press on with their game to ensure a better second half of the season. Congratulations to Heather Johnson opposition named player of the match.
