A WOMAN has been remanded in custody after police recovered two firearms and a selection of ammunition from her when she was arrested.

Bethany Kathleen Williams was in possession of a Makarov self loading pistol, a silencer and a variety of ammunitions for a number of different weapons.

Williams had been released on bail in September following her arrest on August 9 this year but was remanded in custody after she breached bail conditions on November 26.

She is charged with possession of ammunition, namely 32 ACP Browning; possession of ammunition, namely Fiocchi; possession of ammunition, namely long rifle rim fire; possession of a firearm, namely a Dusex duo pistol; possession of a firearm, namely sound suppressor; possession of a firearm, namely Makarov self loading pistol; and acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely cash.

The breach of bail offence involved at least three posts on Snapchat, including two photographs and one video.

The 24-year-old, of Westcroft Road, Grangetown, near Middlesbrough, was remanded in custody after appearing at Teesside Magistrates' Court.

She is expected to appear at Teesside Crown Court in February next year for a further hearing.
