THE North East and North Yorkshire is currently gathering its senses after being battered over the weekend by Storm Arwen, but what will the weather be like for the rest of this week?

What will the weather look like today?

Currently there is a yellow warning for ice affecting much of the North East and North Yorkshire, especially areas towards the coast.

The warning was in place between Sunday 3pm and this morning at 10am, however, there are no more warnings in place for the rest of the week.

What’s the weather like tonight?

Looking at tonight’s forecast the Met Office have predicted that it should become much “milder than recent nights and staying frost free.”

The weather forecaster has predicted cloudy and milder weather for Tuesday “with patchy rain throughout, turning heavier into the evening,” with a maximum temperature of 10 degrees.

What’s the weather like later this week?

Looking at Wednesday’s forecast the Met Office have predicted cooler weather with strong winds and wintry showers.

Friday is set to also see cooler and snowy weather but things are set to turn brighter as the day goes on.

The Met Office’s long range forecast between Friday December 3 and Sunday December 12 has predicted more wintery conditions with snow likely at “lower levels across Northern England.”

However, things are set to remain windy with gales possible in exposed areas in the North, however temperatures are set to be normal.

Unsettled weather will continue “through the rest of this period with spells of wet and windy weather.”

What’s the weather like later next month?

Looking at the Met Office’s long range forecast for December 13 to December 27 weather is set to be very unsettled.

Things could also be stormy, but later in the month temperatures will be on the milder side with some short lived colder spells are possible as well.
