POLICE investigating reports of a man masturbating on a train have released in an image of a person they would like to speak with.

Officers have released a CCTV still after the alleged indecent incident on a train service between Leeds and Bradford on Saturday (October 23).

In a statement police said that at around 7pm, a man approached the victim and her partner, before telling her she was pretty.

He then sat on the seat behind them, before a short while later the victim claimed they saw he was masturbating.

This afternoon, officers said they believe the man in the image may have information which could assist their investigation into the incident.

A British Transport Police spokesperson urged members of the public to get in touch if they had seen the man, or had any information which could help.

They said: "If you recognise him, or have any information, please contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 2100079669.

"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
