FOR some, Christmas doesn’t start until they see the Coca-Cola truck pull into their town or city with Santa in tow and crowds of people watching the festive scenes.

This year, Christmas is set to be extra magical for the people of the North East, and to celebrate, Coca Cola has announced the return of its iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour.

Bringing Christmas cheer to the nation, the eagerly anticipated tour is set to put a spotlight on the local community and togetherness when the Coca Cola truck pulls into the Metrocentre on Friday (November 26).

In a magical winter wonderland setting, visitors will be able to get their festive fill of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, as well as capturing perfect seasonal selfies in front of the iconic red truck.

The sight of the Coca-Cola Truck is often said to mark the official start of Christmas and has done so ever since it first appeared in Coca-Cola’s famous ‘Holidays Are Coming’ advert 26 years ago.

This winter, the Tour is part of Coca-Cola’s Real Magic campaign, carrying at its heart a simple message of festive joy and inclusion, reminding people that real magic happens in the moments of warmth and connection that we share with others.

The need for the Coca Cola Tour comes off the back of it getting cancelled last year, due to Covid-19 restrictions and measures.

So far, Newcastle and Glasgow are the only two locations to be released on the Coca-Cola Tour but more are set to be announced soon.
