A DOUBLE-DECKER bus has been involved in a crash - with the driver reportedly sustaining an injury.

On Tuesday morning (November 16), police attended the scene of the crash on the B1224 in Bilston-in-Ainsty, near Harrogate.

Pictures released showed the dramatic scene as pictures appeared to show the bus had left the road and onto a field.

Meanwhile, the pictures, which were taken by by Traffic Officer David Minto, also showed how a silver Ford people carrier had ended up resting in a ditch.

On Twitter, he confirmed that no passengers were onboard the bus at the time and that the injury sustained by the driver was minor.

He said: "TC Storey and I were out early this morning for this RTC on B1224 in Bilston-In-Ainsty.

"Fortunately there were no passengers onboard the bus. A minor injury sustained by the bus driver."
