A SET of golf clubs worth thousands of pounds was swiped from a vehicle on Saturday night.

The sports equipment had been in a vehicle which was parked in Melland Court, Darlington.

The theft occurred sometime between 10pm and 11pm.

The clubs are described as silver and black with black, white and blue handles and are valued at about £2,500.

Officers are keen to reunite the clubs with their owner and are appealing for any information which could assist the investigation. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigative Officer Melissa Shields on 101 then extension 207275 quoting incident number 95 of November 7.
