FIRSTSOURCE is creating 250 new jobs in Middlesbrough before the end of next year to join the current 850 strong team in the area.

Firstsource employs around 27,000 people across the UK, US, India and the Philippines. The company is a leading provider of business process solutions, often based around call centres.

The expansion comes following the company’s relocation from Fountain Court to new offices in the flagship Centre Square development. The new Customer Service Advisor roles will be based at Centre Square initially, with options to work from home in the future.

Stacy Lawlor, VP for Operations said: “We’ve been present in Middlesbrough for over ten years and it’s a place that we call home. We’re committed to this area and the new Centre Square space allows us to continue providing more jobs, training and career opportunities for local talent.”

“Being located centrally is a great perk for our employees especially because in our line of work people work different shifts. It is also amazing to have all of the facilities and amenities of the town at our doorstep.”

In September 2021 Firstsource got Gold accreditation in the Investors in People (IIP) Standard.

Bethany Boddy, Customer Service Team Manager who started as a Customer Service Advisor with Firstsource four years ago has encouraged new applicants: “Since working at Firstsource I’ve learned to manage client relationships, work as part of a team and have mentored others, which is extremely rewarding.

"No two days are the same and the company’s growth is also exciting, meaning there are always plenty of career development opportunities.”
