Here is a list of firework displays and bonfires in Darlington, County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire.

Bonfire Night is almost here - we wrap up in our cosiest coats and watch the skies light up in bright and beautiful colours.

So if you're looking to celebrate the annual event, these are some of the biggest firework displays near you.

Fireworks and bonfire displays near me

Darlington

  • Middleton St George Cricket and Social Club: This event will celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with fireworks followed by live music on November 6. There will be 
    hot food and drinks, stalls and rides. Entry is £4 but under 3's go free.
  • Fireworks at Hurworth Albion Football Club: Enjoy fireworks with hot food and drink from 2.35pm on November 6. Tickets cost £3 - available in advance from Oscars Barbers or at the gate. 

County Durham

  • Great Aycliffe Town Council’s annual display: This event takes place on Friday, November 5 at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex. There will be a fairground, food stalls, a bonfire and fireworks (from 7.15pm). The event is free but those wanting to attend must apply for a wristband. Wristbands are available from complex's reception between 1pm until 7pm. To be eligible for a wristband you must reside in the parish of Great Aycliffe and supply proof of your address with a recent utility bill or driving licence.
  • The Park, Bishop Middleham: Enjoy fireworks at the park on November 5, 2021.

    Tickets are available from the Post Office for £2 each or £5 for a family. This event is for residents in the Bishop Middleham and Mainsforth Parish Boundary only - you will need proof of residency when buying your tickets. Tickets will not be available on the evening on the gate. Gates open at 6pm for funfair rides and refreshments. Fireworks start at 6.30pm.

  • Brandon Cricket Club: Enjoy fireworks, fairground attractions and a bonfire on November 5 from 4pm. With tickets available at the gate, adults pay £3, children and OAPs pay £2 and push chairs enter for free. The display starts at 7.30pm.
  • The Saxon Inn, Escomb: Enjoy fireworks and sparkler fun on Sunday evening, November 7. 
  • Ferryhill Town Council fireworks: Taking place on November 5 at Dean Bank Recreation Park, enjoy a James Bond themed firework show and street food. There will be live singers on stage - including Steppin’ Out DJ Keith Martin. It costs £2 per ticket for residents of Ferryhill, £3.00 per ticket for residents of other towns and villages. Children under 3 go free. Tickets for the event will remain on sale at Ferryhill Town Hall until 3.30pm on Friday. Music from 5pm and the display starts at 7pm.

Teesside 

  • Stockton Fireworks 2021: Taking place at the Riverside, Stockton-on-Tees, this annual fireworks spectacular promises a display that will light up the sky with a flurry of colour, noise and music. The event starts at 5pm on Sunday, November 7 - but fireworks will start at 6.30pm. It is a free event, run by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
  • Hardwick Hall Hotel: Hardwick Hall Hotel's fireworks and bonfire extravaganza will take place on November 5 - promising family movies on the big screen, a hot chocolate station, fairground rides and street food vans. While general admission and pod tickets have sold out, you can still get 'VIP Bench' tickets for £60.00. This gets you your own VIP bench on the lower lawn for up to six people as well as two parking passes for the rear of the hotel.
  • Thornaby Cricket Club fireworks display: This event takes place on November 6 from 6pm. You can get hot food and drinks from the bar while children can enjoy small fair rides. The display starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available via Eventbrite. A family ticket (Two adults, two under 16's) costs £10, one adult ticket costs £4 and under 16's pay £2.50. Under 3's go free.
  • Grand fireworks display at Acklam Park: Held on November 5 by Middlesbrough Rugby Club, this fireworks extravaganza starts from 6.30pm. Food and drink available. Entry costs £5 for adults, £3 for children or £15 for a family ticket (Two adults, two children). You can buy tickets in advance at the club or at the gate (availability dependent).
  • Marton Cricket Club: From 7.15pm on November 5, enjoy special fireworks and drinks for Bonfire Night. Tickets cost £4 per adult and £3 for under 16's. No Parking on site, organisers say. 

North Yorkshire

  • Northallerton fireworks and bonfire: Held by Northalleron Town Council, this event is taking place at Applegarth Park from 6.30pm until 9pm on November 5. There will be music from Pure Abba. 
  • Danby Wiske Village bonfire and fireworks: This event has been a part of the village's community for over 40 years - taking place in the "field next to the river bridge". The 2021 event promises to have lots of fireworks, warming food and drink and a bonfire. Organisers said donations will be accepted at the gate.
  • Guisborough Cricket Club, Redcar and Cleveland: Taking place on November 6, enjoy fireworks, fairground rides and hot and cold food and drink from 6pm. Fireworks start at 7.30pm. There will also be free balloon modelling. Entry costs £6 for adults and £4 for children. Tickets are available from the cricket club's bar and Guisborough Bookshop.
