TWO men have been charged with murder after the body of a man was found at a property in York.

North Yorkshire Police were called to the home on Markham Crescent on Wednesday teatime where the body of a 35 year-old man was discovered.

Curtis Turpin, 34, and Adam Hudson, 39, appeared before York Magistrates Court this morning charged with murder.

They were remanded in custody and their cases were sent to Leeds Crown Court where they will appear for a preliminary hearing on November 2. 

A third man arrested in relation to the death has been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the man’s death.

Increased patrols from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue in the local area over the next few days.
