Manager of the popular Spanish restaurant, Zika Nada, said: “We were very happy to get these awards. We know our food is good but it’s great to know that others think so too.

“Most of our ingredients are imported from Spain, including our 3-year-aged ham, our olives and chorizo.

"Yes, it’s stuff that we could buy here in the UK but we choose to get the highest-quality ingredients from Spain.

“It’s a relaxed atmosphere like typical tapas bars in Spain with good-value food and friendly staff and I think that is the attraction.

"We want everyone to have a good time when they come to Sol Tapas."

A tapa is a bar-snack in Spanish cuisine that can be served hot or cold.

Known for being good-value, tapas are now often combined to form a full meal.

In the Basque Country, tapas are known as pintxo and in Mexico tapas are known as botanas.

Of course, each nation has its own favourites including olives, king prawns with garlic and patatas bravas.

With a wide selection of authentic Spanish food, Sol Tapas also caters to vegetarians.

Sol Tapas is open Mondays to Saturdays 5pm - 10pm.
