ANOTHER family home is being auctioned off later this month - with the starting price below the average cost of a deposit.

The two-bedroom home in Ferryhill in County Durham is going under the hammer at 8am on October 27 with bidding starting at £5,000.

Located on George Street, the home has been described as being in a "reasonable" order with its own back yard.

Complete with a reception room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms on the first floor, whoever buys the home could end up paying far less than the average deposit.

According to Zoopla, homeowners in the North East and North Yorkshire can expect to pay anywhere between £5,000 and £15,000 when putting money down on a home.

Auctioneers have said the home is currently let on a twelve-month agreement with the potential to receive around £3,600 in rent per year.

Zoopla's tool which shows when a home was last present on its website said the home previously sold for around £24,000 in November 2018.

In the listing, Taylor James Auctions said: "For Sale By Public Auction on 27th October 2021.
