A TEENAGER was taken to hospital following a collision on Saturday.

The incident, which happened in Darlington town centre, involved a pedestrian and a car, a spokeswoman for Durham Police said.

It happened in Woodland Road, just after 7pm.

The teenager was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with foot injuries.

Police say they were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a beige Skoda Fabia.

A spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on Woodland Road, shortly after 7pm on Saturday night (October 9). 

"It involved a beige Skoda Fabia which was travelling along the road when it collided with the pedestrian. 

"The teenager was taken to hospital with foot injuries."
