RUNNERS were blessed with good weather as they raced around the UK's largest man-made lakes this weekend.
Runners came from all over the country to tackle the Kielder Marathon, a testing marathon around the lakeside.
The Active Northumberland Kielder Marathon route follows an almost entirely off-road course around northern Europe’s largest man-made lake, Kielder Water, in Northumberland.

Britain’s Most Beautiful Marathon is the finale to a weekend of events, starting with the Kielder 10K & Kielder Run Bike Run which took place on Saturday, October 2 and followed by the Kielder Half Marathon and Junior races on Sunday, October 3.
It all adds up to an electric atmosphere and a fabulous weekend in the beautiful part of Northumberland.
Some runners took part in the race virtually, with some from as far as Canada taking part.
