POLICE are investigating a spate of reports of antisocial behaviour at a community football ground in County Durham.

Officers have been called to the Crook Town AFC ground recently to deal with a series of incidents.

A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “Crook neighbourhood team are aware of recent reports of anti-social behaviour at the football ground and are actively working to tackle this.

“Officers from the team will be patrolling the area and gathering intelligence to identify those causing damage.

“We would encourage residents to report incidents of ASB and in particular activity around the football ground directly to us.

“Please direct message Crook Police facebook page with any information, CCTV or dashcam footage.”

Crook Town AFC has been contacted by the Northern Echo for a comment on the matter.
